Piano

I have recently ( about a year ) really enjoyed playing piano! We were given a piano by my grandma, well actually electric keyboard but it cost 5,000 $ so it is really good quality! I have really been practising some good Christmas songs since we are approaching that season! I am mostly using chords for the Christmas songs, it sounds more professional and I per fer that sound!

March Break

The above picture is me holding a tarantula at Science North in Sudbury! We go every March Break and take a friend along! It was sooooooooo awsome! I really want a tarantula!

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving we are hosting! We have always just gone to my Grandma's but not this year! We got a fifteen pound Turkey so that should feed everyone! I am not sure who is all coming but is going to be fun! Here is the menu for Thanksgiving....... Turkey(of course) , Stuffing, Potatoes, Corn, Gravy, Cranberries and for dessert Pumpkin pie and Pumpkin pie cheesecake swirl bars! So delicious! Happy Thanksgiving everyone and a Happy New Year LOL!

Hockey

This year Hope and Dennis are going to play Hockey! They are so excited and sounds quite fun but I don't know if I would like it! They have almost all their equipment. The stuff they don't have they are getting in Espanola today! Today the hydro is being shut off from 9-3 so we are going to church in the dark! Sounds like fun!

Footprints

One night a man had a dream.He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.For each scene,he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord.When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand.He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints.He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it."Lord, You said that once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all the way.But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints.I don't understand why when I need you most you would leave me."The Lord replied, "My son, My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you.During your times of trouble and suffering,when you see only one set footprints, it was then that I CARRIED YOU."

Family Weekend In Barrie

On September 1st Dad,hope,Dennis and I set out on the five and a half hour drive to Barrie,Stroud!


Day 1

We woke up early on September 2nd to get ready for day ahead at Canada's Wonderland! Going was My Dad,Uncle Dan,Aunt Linda,hope,Dennis and Me. Here is a pic from the day!Aunt Linda is not in this pic because she is taking it!The rides we did include..Dragon fire(which we did first,Gulyas tradition!) Rage,Sledge Hammer,Nightmares, Syclone,Stuntcoaster,Bumper cars and droptower! It was sooooo busy that day and soooo hot that is all we got around to!




Day 2


We did not really do anything but relax on day 2! We just hung out and chilled!



Day 3

On day three we prepared for the family BBQ later that night1 I had alot of fun cutting the grass for the first time on a ridding lawn mower!Here are a couple pics from the BBQ! the first pic is Dennis with cousin April and the second is of me in an AWSOME wig I fell in love with1

My Daily Agenda

My alarm goes of at seven-thirty,hit the snooze button.Go down stairs for some toast or cereal. After breakfast go back up stairs to brush my hair and teeth get dressed and go back down stairs to start school. First Math,Language or Writing Strands then Creation to the Greeks, then Basics for Communicating Effectively. Next is lunch yum yum! Last is Spelling Power and Science! Then it is Quiet time and forty-five minutes of my school reading material. then help Mom with supper prep,then eat supper,clean up from supper play a game with my brother's and sisters. Eight o-clock watchTV for an hour then go to bed. Next morning the same thing again!

My Family

I will start from oldest to youngest............ My Dad....he is always  there if ever you need a shoulder to cry on   and he is the one who keeps us in line! My Mom.... she is the selfless one, she will always sacrifice whatever for one of her children! Hope....the tomboy, there is not a tree she has not climbed or a mud puddle she has not stepped in! Dennis.... the buff but not very brave kung fu fighter! Bethany....in two words clothes,make-up and hair and clothes, make-up and hair again! Matthew... the tank you do not want to get into restle war with him! Amanda....what a little woman she does not ever stop talking! Steven....he is just a little cutie!

Facebook vs Blogging

If your one of those pre-teens who can't wait until you are allowed to have Facebook well..........I wold recommend Blogging because it is a way to express yourself to the public ( just like Facebook ) without having to worry about trash!You never know what someone might post on Facebook, but with Blogging you can choose whether you want people to comment or not. Facebook is a great way of letting alot of people know something but if your only interested in expressing yourself or writing about your life Blogging is probably better! I am going to use my Blog sort of like an online journal for people to read! So anyway Facebook vs Blogging........ you choose!

My name Rachel Gulyas I am thirteen years old.I am the eldest child in my family.There is never a dull moment in this house with seven children yelling and playing! I am currently going through grade eight and am actually really enjoying it.They say grade seven is the hardest and I agree. I have been home schooled since grade one. If I had a choice whether to go to public school or remain home schooled I would definitely chose to be home schooled.I moved from a big city to the small town life when I was two.
